Breaking News;Pirates Lose Two Key Players Ahead Of Next Soweto Derby

Soweto-based giants Orlando Pirates football club will be playing their next Soweto derby without the expertise of two key players.

The Buccaneers suffered a league double defeat over the past weekend against their arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi won both matches this season 1-0 against Bucs in the league taking all six points from the home and away fixtures.

Bucs did not only lose three points to Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, 25 February, but also lost two key players ahead of their next league match.

Pirates will be featuring in another Soweto derby as the Dobsonville Dube Birds (Moroka Swallows FC) from Soweto is next on the agenda.

Due to suspensions, Orlando Pirates football club will be without Captain Innocent Maela and Nkosinathi Sibisi.

The high-end Soweto derby on Saturday was the encounter which denied the two Bucs stars their spots in the next round in the DStv Premiership.

Captain Innocent Maela received a red card against the Naturena base outfit which means he is out of the Swallows clash due to suspension.

Nkosinathi Sibisi who is the other key player in the Pirates camp picked up his fourth yellow card which ruled him out of the original Soweto derby against Swallows.

Jose Riveiro who led the Buccaneers to MTN8 glory will have to make arrangements around Maela and Sibisi against Swallows on Friday, 03 March.

The sea robbers was one of the PSL clubs which had the most movement in the past two transfer windows, replacing two players like Maela and Sibisi should not be a problem to them as they have great players to fill that two positions.
