Another Kaizer Chiefs Football Club Dstv Diski Challenge(DDC) star player was spotted training with the first team yesterday ahead of the club's Dstv Premiership match against Richards Bay Football Club this upcoming Saturday, the 4th of March 2023 at King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium, Durban.
There is no club currently in the top tier of South African football that has more players in their first team from their reserve team like Chiefs, as the Naturena-based club has more than 10 players who are playing in the first team that comes from their junior ranks.
This season a host of youngsters has been given a chance to join the first team from the junior teams due to how small the club's squad is and the long injury list that continues to grow with each passing matchday.
Despite all of that, the youngsters who are getting a chance to train and be part of the team are down to them knocking on the door and being part of the plan Chiefs seem to have going forward.
The latest to join the likes of Wandile Duba, Bontle Molefe, Samkelo Zwane, and Mduduzi Shabalala in joining the team is the son of the legendary Chiefs defender, Aiden McCarthy who follows in his father's(Fabian) footsteps and play for the club's first team.
Yesterday the club was preparing for their clash against Richards Bay and McCarthy was spotted among the Chiefs players in training preparing for the match as well.
The youngster and the club shared the video clip and image of the youngster on their Instagram account with their fans.
I think showing and giving him a taste of the first team will help him in the future, as he is tipped to be one of the biggest players in the club's history due to the quality he has.
For now, it's all about opportunities and growth for the youngsters and being part of the first team, will help him.
